‘Friday Night Lights’ lives!!
Details are sketchy, but this much we know: “Friday Night Lights” has been renewed for next season by NBC. An assistant to Austinite and executive producer Sarah Aubrey alerted us moments ago. Aubrey was at a lunch meeting, so we found out before she did!
How much of next season we don’t yet know, but an update will be posted as soon as the information arrives. (Maybe when Aubrey finishes her lunch.) A full-season order would be for 22 episodes, which is how many the fabulous Austin-based drama produced last season.
AND … the production is staying in Austin, where it will once again pump about $1.5 million per episode into the local economy.
More importantly, we’ll get to see Kyle Chandler, Connie Britton and all the cute young actors roaming on South Congress Avenue.

[Wearing my FNL button and holding a FNL RULES sign] Okay, so I'm a nut, but I do support keeping FNL around for another season and glad that its staying in the Austin area. For anyone that might have negative comments - well, there are worse things in this town to have issue upon. Austin boasts creativity in its reasons to live here. Well, having a piece of TV land is a part of the mix....not just filming movies - although I favor both genres in this Austin metroplex.

Why is it wrong for Diane to support a show she likes? What do you want her to support--"According to Jim?"

Glad to hear it, if only because perhaps now you will stop acting like a giddy cheerleader for this show.

How exactly does finding out you don't like a show that I adore burst my bubble? My bubble's still intact, dude.

Great, Great. This is a fun show to watch. If you don't like it change the channel.
This is great for our economy and is great for locals wanting to be a part of the show.

Best show on Tv. NBC is famous for the best shows with lowest ratings. Hats off to them for trying and moreso for sticking with good shows, at least for awhile (American Dreams).
