C’mon! Let’s dump Trump!
Some people just can’t take no for an answer, and apparently Donald Trump is one of those people.
Inexplicably the orange-haired real estate tycoon is still operating under the delusion that he’s a TV star and that his reality show, “The Apprentice,” is a top-rated show.
In his recent meltdown over Rosie O’Donnell, who had the unmitigated gall to criticize him on “The View,” Trump bragged that his show is “a huge hit.” In a week clearly designed to generate publicity, good or bad, before “The Apprentice” begins a new season on NBC this Sunday, Trump alternately bragged about himself and called O’Donnell a “fat slob” and “a degenerate.”
First things first: “The Apprentice” hasn’t been a hit since its 2004 season debut, and that had more to do with engaging vixen Omarosa Manigault-Stallworth than Trump. For about 10 minutes, popular culture was infused with the phrase, “You’re fired.” And then pretty much nobody cared.
But somehow Trump bullied NBC into sticking with him, even though last season’s show plummeted from 20 million viewers to less than 11 million viewers. And his personally promoted spinoff, featuring domestic diva Martha Stewart sending out hand-written termination notes, bit the dust in a hurry.
Like hydrilla, Trump keeps coming back. This time, “The Apprentice” will be based in Los Angeles, and the losing team will live in tents instead of the requisite Trump Tower-style mansion. Big whup. Carolyn Kepcher, Trump’s former protege, has been fired, replaced by Trump’s daughter Ivanka. So what?
One of my New Year’s resolutions is to curb my natural tendency to let mean-spirited people get the better of me, but I just can’t help myself when it comes to Trump. This is a guy whose towering ego drives everything he touches. He exaggerates his own success to the point of outright falsehood (is he really worth “billions and billions of dollars” as he claims?). And his slams against Rosie were unwarranted, pathetic and borderline homophobic.
If NBC had a spine, it would axe the new “Apprentice” before its new season debut. But The Donald is coming back, and now it’s up to us to show him just how popular he is.

Bottom line...its TV...its supposed to be entertainment and everyone is entitled to an opinion, whether paid or blogged to death. I'm not a fan of The Donald or Rosie for whatever reasons. The Apprentice bites and Rosie is just uncouth....but its the networks that air the programming and the remote control on/off switch is available to every household.

I believe you're thinking of Roseanne Barr's National Anthem.
I admire your passion, though

I think that Rosie should be replaced by someone
else on the View because she does not let anyone talk. Also the only reason she is on the
program is that she is a L and the group is trying to get more people into the intertainment business and come out as they say.

I agree with Diane...Trump is a spoiled billionaire who thinks he has more power than he actually does. I liked Rosie when she was still in the closet but since she's come out, I'd characterize her as an angry shrew who has taken swipes at almost every body and every thing "straight". Both of them are behaving badly and are a disgrace. I propose that America put all the celebrities and celebrity wanna-be's who are behaving badly on "ignore".

Everyone, and I mean everyone, please read this carefully. I'm not sure why I clicked on this link. Out of curiosity I guess. I'm not sure if this is even worth the effort, but here it goes:
Get a life, all of you. Diane Holloway, whoever you are, if you're getting paid to talk and write about other people, then kudos to you. I guess people who can do nothing, and have done nothing, write and talk about other people. The fact that you get paid for it has more to do with your boss than your talent, and you certainly are not contributing to our culture and society. I mean, really. You have two successful people, Trump, and O'Donnell. I remember seeing Rosie's standup once. It was decent stuff. She's funny, and she gets paid to be what she is. Trump on the other hand is nothing original. I'm sure there are thousands of Trumps. I'm in the semiconductor industry, and believe me, they're out there. But he is good at what he does. You can't deny it. But if you don't know these people, who the hell cares about your opinion? Only other people with no life I suppose. I mean, unless you're good friends, who cares? And even then, would you gossip about them?
So please, everyone, get off your a**e, turn off your computer, get outside and exercise or do something other than waste your time sitting on your fat asses playing with a computer mouse. Life is not about Donald and Rosie, and it certainly is not about sitting in front of a computer. For god's sake, weren't these things invented to save us time? What the hell are you doing with yours? Spending even more time on them? Get off your fat asses, go to your kids room and get them off of their fat asses and off of the computer, and go outside, please. Remember that computers are a TOOL. Like Mathematics skills, fax machines, cars, pencils. All these things are meant to make your jobs easier, they are not meant to consume your lives. Believe me, I engineer processes for micro-chips all day. But what do I do when I get home? I don't get on the computer.
I am confident that this will be my only venture to this venue. Good luck with it all. Diet's won't work. Don't eat as much, and get off of your fat asses. And please, all of you, stop bitching about fatty foods at the burger joints. When I have a burger, I want it to be fat. That's the point, it tastes good. All you fat asses sittin' around complaining all the time about how fat they are is making them make them healthy. Try eating out once a week, or even once per month, and stop screwing it up for those of us with self control....I beg of you.
Regards,
Kevin

Why does Austin American Statesman keep you around? You are a pathetic feminist who thinks they can trash all men at no expense to yourself just like Rosie. Rosie got what she deserved and I hope he does sue her for slander. As for you and your kind boycotting the Apprentice, you probably never watched it anyway, As for me I never watched it before but will now, Do you remember what Rosie did to the national anthem at a baseball game? She is a disgrace to our country, and this current wave of feminism has dealt a serious blow to our country. Austin American Statesman should fire you as soon as possible
