oh no . . . you are my favorite. do let me know when you have a personal blog, please.
*sniff*
I'd follow you anywhere, Tex.
Farewell, Tex. It's been a great run. I'll see you at your new home.
don't leave me.
If the premise of the movie were that Mary Richards moonlights as a prostitute, I could see Hatcher filling that role. Otherwise, Teri is already desperately overexposed.
That casting would be as big a disaster as "Bewitched".
Yeah, I wonder how many people NBC invited to take that survey? I love the idea of Tim having his own show. One of the questions on the survey was also whether a full season of "Project Jay" would be appointment television. Of course it would be!
So perfectly put. I always pictured Tab as That Girl's drink of choice.
Chloe won because of her dress seams; those curvacious stitch lines holding garments together hugging the female shape. This comment or something like it was made by the Elle Fashion executive. Just thought you'd like to know.
I'd like to meet Guy who Knows all the Dance Moves... haha
Kanye West may be talented but his influence on younger people is dangerous. The comment he made regarding George Bush's response to Hurricane Katrina turned my stomach.
He misused his celebrity to incite anger in people already hurt by one of the nation's worst natural disasters. His mouth works faster than his brain.
I would have chosen Roses or So Fresh and So Clean by Outkast. Outkast is one of the best things to happen to music in the 21st Century. Their lyrics are smart and fun; two components a lot of modern music lacks when people need it most. Andre and Norah Jones' duet on Speakerboxx is unbelievable. Lend it an ear if you haven't.
They are not together anymore but I expect more great things from both.
Chloe's consistency and professional attitude worked in her favor. She was my choice from the 3rd episode. She buckled under pressure and I believed Diana (nutjob) would be her undoing. Chloe buckled down and worked her tail off because everyone said she couldn't. She may be a dynamite seamstress but is not driven by the passion of some of the other desingers.
Daniel's reactions to criticism (or lack of) hurt him and reminded the judges of his inexperience. It was interesting the judges preferred his 13th look. His designs were manic. He buckled silently; maintaing his cool demeanor.
Santino does not need an offer from Michael Kors or anyone else. So what if his boobs were misplaced. Fashion is a driving force for him. I believe he would work in an unrelated area to be able to rent a workspace. He is going somewhere; and it would not hurt my feelings one bit if he let Andrae tag along.
This show gave us the opportunity to see how things happen in the fashion industry and I hope we see more.
Sarah adds: Astute as always. That's a really good point about Daniel's handling (or mishandling) of criticism
You are off the wall Sarah in your assessment of Chloe's not deserving to win! Chloe's collection was the most cohesive, beautiful and well made. Santino's pieces were creative but not well made and fitted...but all in all were a hodgepodge. Daniel's pieces were chique and exceptional, however, they didn't pull together well as a collection. Chloe is to commended and congratulated for rising to the top as cream usually does.
Sarah adds: I am totally, totally happy that Chloe won. Sorry if it didn't come off that way.
I think Santino realized what a jerk he was when he watched the show. I heard he read a lot of message boards too where folks blasted him.
Do you plan on watching America's Next Top Model?
That last task was SO wrong. They didn't pull that crap with last year's candidates. Yuck. I had read about Chloe's collection looking like a puffy chair, so I wasn't too surprised when I saw her stuff. And yeah, Santino really did something with that collection. That surprised me. I still don't care much for him, though.
Urggh!! I hated the twist--it totally brought last night's show down and increased my hatred for Heidi. I just have a feeling that it was her idea. It was so tacky and Apprentice wannabe-like.
I think that if Hello Kitty caught the bird flu, she'd be very dainty about it - coughing the way that movie heroines do that signals that they're a goner.
What happened to Andrae?
I loved the Dan Franco song. It made me want to dance!!!!!!!!!!
But the best part was Andrae and the revolving door!
Oh a forest is certainly all wrong. I picture Hello Kitty living in Barbara Novak's apartment from Down With Love. Or is that me?
I am so glad you are back and hope you had a fabulous vacation in the City of Angels.
Michael Kors said it best when he suggested Santino needs to be corralled. He would be a great costume designer for the Metropolitan Opera or Broadway. He would have to adhere to guidelines and could hone his skills; and it would be fun to watch a diva clean a dressing room floor with his head.
Kara should have been gone before Andrae or Nick. She has potential but does not perform under pressure. The judges most likely kept around because of her passive personality; as a filler.
Chloe should not have expressed indecision but will win anyway. She is consistent, gracious, focused, and capable and will wow the judges with her final collection.
Daniel knew the dress he made for Chloe was ugly and thumbed his nose at the judges' criticism. He is talented and "cute" but his attitude is going to hurt him. He misused his immunity instead of being edgier or more "exciting."
It was a bad day to be Iman. The designers would have either played it safer or gone to the other extreme if had they known she would wear one of the gowns on a red carpet.
My money is on Chloe.
Santino will get his act together but it will be too little to late. Daniel may have a chance but needs to steer clear anything remotely akin to the Banana Republic look.
Can't wait until next week.
Try the 101 Coffee Shop on Franklin near N. Gower, it's a great spot! Blackened Chicken Sandwich, YUM! From there, if you drive up Beachwood Dr. (I used to live at 2010 Beachwood,) You can make a right on Deronda and follow the winding road all the way up to the dead end. Park your car, walk around the gate, and follow the path all the way to the top of Hollywood Sign! From there you can see amazing panoramics of Hollywood and Downtown LA. On a clear day you can see the ocean! Go to the 'In and Out Burger' on Sepulveda near LAX. Order a cheeseburger 'animal style' and watch the planes come into land. Giant 747s coming in 40 feet over head, amazing and fun....
