Ron’s new salon is fantastic and the service is excellent.

Would you ever consider serving martinis for a bachelorette party group? Bride would like to have mani/pedi’s and a martini……If you do not offer thsi type of service, do you know of a local spa that does?

any guidance you can provide would be most appreciated!

I’m not sure where to tell the rest of Austin about this, but Woodhouse Day Spa Austin is doing a sweepstakes with their services. Giving away a prize of like $500 or more. I thought you might want to blog about it!

Even if it kills my chances ^_^.

Ron King is awesome, has anyone been to this salon yet? I want to check it out, stat!

Truly a fantastic line of cosmetics! We’ve used them for two fashion shows and the makeup was stunning. I love the products and will be buying more!

Live Oak Pharmacy is thrilled to partner up with W3LL PEOPLE to help support the documentary Cancerpants. We’ll be debuting our newest product, Benefitting Bath Salts. 100% of the proceeds from this limited edition blend of Himalayan Pink and Ultra Epsom salts will benefit Cancerpants as well as the Texas Mamma Jamma ride.

I sat behind Ava in a personal growth seminar in about 1986 when her philosophy was “the bigger the hair, the smaller it makes my hips!”. I learned immediately that knowing Ava meant learning BIG things about yourself and about life.

I had a hair stylest at the time and was very loyal until I signed up at a silent action for a hair cut every month for a year from Ava and I WON!!! What a treat it was to be pampered each month!!! Such creative guidance I had never experienced in my life and I was able to —- with Ava’s total love and attention - realize my full potential for a hair style that fit me and to this day, people still stop me and say “I love your hair, who does it?”

It is true, Ava is part of my life and her wisdom has taken me thru many trials as I have changed and grown. Most recent was including a drastic cut of my 10 year old granddaughter’s hair (to her thrill and surprised parents … it was perfect!

For several years I kept asking Ava if it was time for me to color my hair and she kept saying “not yet” and then when it was time, we moved forward and I think she is the absolute best in color.

Amaz for Hair, and Ava, are amazing. Ruthann Laman

I have been going to Dr. Lain for a couple of years. He is a fantastic dermatologist and I would highly recommend him!

Amiable post and this post helped me alot in my college assignement. Thank you for your information.

Man!! I hope I can get my hubby to join me. The last time I took him to get anything remotely “girlie” was getting his eyebrows waxed. Unfortunately, he refuses to go back to get them done again. sigh Guess it is up to me to pluck myself stupid over him. HAHA.

Wonder if Viva Spa would donate to the St Francis Gala…? It would be a winner.

Haha, apparently some people forgot about the old “girls rule and boys drool” idiom. I’m pretty sure girls nowadays are still using it… and the boys are still coming up with lame comebacks. Ohhh childhood…

nice article. I would love to follow you on twitter. By the way, did you hear that some chinese hacker had busted twitter yesterday again.

Smokey, she wasn’t be literal when she said “girls rule… and boys drooled,” it’s a saying for when you’re the age where you don’t care what boys think—you’re too busy having fun trying new things.

Are you kidding me? You were 8 years old and “boys drooled”? Get real.

This spa is amazing! There are so many things to do! I went there yesterday and tanned and got a facial and today, on my lunch break, I am going to get my teeth whitened and get a massage on this awesome water massage bed! I can’t wait! I had been to the Cedar Park location and I was hoping that one would open south because I live south. It’s also family owned and operated and the ladies there are so sweet! Everyone should check this place out!

Linda has been my soul mate for over 34 years. she is a true healer and a fabulous dancer. don’t let the blonder hair fool ya, she is DEEP.

Have had spirtual connection w/ Linda for 40 yrs. These praises are not a suprise to me. She was my healing source during a very turbulant time in my life. And have remained friends forever…even have photos!!!Was so glad to see her face again..She’s as beautiful as ever!!!!! bueno bye

I have known Linda for over 30 yrs. She was born to be a therapist. She had the aura of a healer even then. My only complaint is that she doesn’t live here in Albuquerque. Austin, you are so lucky!!!

I find it more than a tad suspicious that six of the eight comments added in the past year were all posted within 26 hours of each other and almost two full months after the article was published (and, thus, comment submissions opened). -Perhaps- a group of friends / El Rey members encouraged each other to immediately post counter-comments to “dom deny” but it really looks like someone woke up on the 20th and posted four times under different names in under 2 hours. Such dedication most likely comes from a single El Rey employee/owner so I’ll have to discount the last six comments as bias and fraud (for posing as different people). I’ll also ignore the “dom” comments as well since they are an opinion of what ‘manliness’ is with no actual info about El Rey (plus I’m left to wonder how ‘dom’ checks his email in a ‘manly’ way since it’s apparently taboo to check it by any means while in a club downtown)…
