Linklater, talking about “Slacker” and the art of slackers
For her exhibition “The Architect’s Garden” which opened last week at UT’s Visual Arts Center, New York artist Mika Tajima keyed into Richard Linklater’s now iconic film portrait of Austin, “Slacker.”
On Tuesday, Linklater and joins Tajima to discuss slackers, flâneurs (a detached observer of urban life) and the intersection of Linklater’s film and Tajima’s installation
