Austin artist Beili Liu wins 3rd place, $50,000 in ArtPrize 2010
Austin artist Beili Liu has won third place — and $50,000 — in the ArtPrize 2010 competition, one of the more innovative visual art awards in the U.S.
Liu, an art professor at UT, was one of ten finalists for the prize, which is based Grand Rapids, Michigan. Artists are challenged to create projects in various spacious in downtown, Grand Rapids, then the public votes for the winner.
