the city should condemn hooters and build a big parking garage.

I blame the Bouldin Creek Neighborhood Association for the parking disaster AND City Hall for caving in to them even though it was apparent that the dinky Palmer Events Center parking garage would NOT be enough to handle everything once the Long Center opened.

This is so typical of Austin: “not in my neighborhhod” mentality, arrogance and monumentally bad planning as always.

How late will shuttle to Convention Center run? After the performance of Kathleen Battle, my wife and stood in line over an hour for an autograph. Would the shuttle be running at 11 pm or later? Will shuttle work for those with impaired movement?? How early will Convention Center open? Can I park there and dine on Congress, say, before catching the shuttle. Will the shuttle be caught in traffic as were other kinds of vehicles on the disaster day??
