Definitely agree with Brenda’s comment (and am honored by what you said about In On It).
It’s always fascinating to see everything that’s going on in town, even if you sometime think you already know everything that’s going on. There’s always more to discover.
And the Hall of Fame inductions are always interesting. You start by looking forward to hearing the induction of the ones you know and end pretty much thunderstruck by the range and history of artistic work that has been going on in Austin for so many years. Harold McMillan and Ishmael Soto were particularly inspiring this year.

As a first-time attendee, it was a stunning primer on the breadth of incredible work in every category of arts in our city. While I’d seen many of the theatre productions (In On It and I Am My Own Wife two that I’ll never forget) I left the awards with regret for the wonderful things I had not seen and a resolution to see much, much more from now on.
