So sorry I missed THIS party! Not only did it feature performers (and guests!) I know personally, & hold in high esteem... but, honoring JOYCE DIBONA? Well, THAT is an idea long over-due! Truly an "Austin treasure", this artist is always looking for new & different ways to contribute to her community. I am the proud owner of one of Joyce's original works, & have my eye on another. Not only do I think she's a truly excellent investment, but her pieces are wonderful to live around - rather like the emanations of fond friends. Best still, is to avail yourself of ANY opportunity to see an exhibit (no matter how informal) of as many of her works as is possible. The amazing range of her palette as well as the wide spread of influences, takes you from the obviously spiritual & metaphysical qualities of her southwestern desert motif to the hugely popular homage to tattoo art.... and much, much more. Huge canvases to small, pastels, oils, inks, & sculpture - she is sure to please the senses. Thanks for supporting art... & artists! Best always, Peg
