West was on BET 106 PARK...at the beginning of the year. He free flowed a song and one of the versus. .....said he was buying a. Loft here in Austin.

The song in question is actually on Rick Ross' "Deeper than Rap" album.
The "Maybach Music 2" track features Kanye (among others), but it's technically a Rick Ross track.

I've heard this rumor as well. God knows he would be the only one able to afford it. I also heard this in his song Maybach Music pt. 2.

Hey Michael,
In regards to Kanye,., if you google the lyrics to his song Maybach 2 by Kanye West and Rick Ross, there is a verse in which he announces that he just purchased a loft here in Austin....
"New crib, loftin
Where's dat Austin?
Where's dat Texas?
What's in front?
Benzes
What else?
Lexus
Well who's Maybach is that?
Mr. West's"
Also, a source that works in realty has confirmed to me that he has indeed purchased the top floor of the Austonian!

I can neither confirm or deny but the rumor of a purchase of property in downtown has been going around for a few weeks now.
