Your A-List: Best Locally Produced Beer, Liquor or Wine
The winners of the A-List vote on best locally produced beer, liquor or wine are everywhere. There’s hardly a local party where you won’t find either Paula’s Texas Orange (which earned 42 percent of the vote) or Tito’s Handmade Vodka (31 percent). It helps that they were the first two hit products from the Austin distilling mini-boom of the past 10 years. Two brewers came in third and fourth place: Real Ale Brewing (8 percent) and Live Oak Brewing Co. (6 percent). Taking 5 percent or less were Dripping Springs Vodka, Independence Brewing Co., Draught House, Uncle Billy’s, Caprock wines, Savvy Vodka, Treaty Oak Rum and Alamosa wines.Write-in vote: Orf beer

Your A-List: Best Place to Catch a Sunset
We’re going to assume that nobody expected a dark horse in this category. With terraces cut into the steep hillside above Lake Travis, the Oasis is ideally situated for spectacular sunset views, which is why you voted it the A-List winner with 46 percent of the vote. Mount Bonnell, the city park that’s closer into downtown and free, but lacking fountains of margaritas, came in second with 25 percent. Other hot spots, in descending order of their A-List popularity: Loop 360 scenic overlook, Lake Travis, Iguana Grill, Hula Hut, Pennybacker Bridge, Zilker Park, downtown skyscrapers and the sometimes burnt orange UT Tower.Photo by Ricardo B.
