Fame: Rush over to the Driskill Hotel today if you want to see Gary Busey, along with musicians Ray Wylie Hubbard and Jack Ingram, shooting the teaser for “The Last Rites of Ransom Pride,” a western. Austin-born co-producer Duncan Montgomery and film director Tiller Russell will also be on hand. … Ranch 616 chef/owner Kevin Williamson just returned from Japan where he went nuts, or, rather, promoted Texas pecans to Japanese consumers. … Meanwhile, Peter Berg, who spent a good deal of time in Austin shooting “Friday Night Lights,” is promoting “The Kingdom,” a $70 million feature about chasing bad guys in contemporary Saudi Arabia. … For photos of “Dancing with the Stars” stars, including Joey Fatone, Joey McIntyre and Drew Lachey, who are prepping for tonight’s Erwin Center show, go to statesman.com/multimedia.
