Scratch Acid plays Emo’s East Dec. 10
The almighty Scratch Acid, the Austin band best known to most of the world as “the band that David Yow and David Sims were in before the Jesus Lizard” is heading out on tour, playing their first shows in five years., prompted by an invitation from Neutral Milk Hotel leader Jeff Mangum to play the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival.
“Greatest Gift,” the CD collection of the band’s amazing debut EP, not-nearly-as-good LP and excellent final EP, is well worth the time of anyone who appreciates ugly, aggressive funny rock music that changed such lives as Kurt Cobain’s and Steve Albini’s.
