Willie Nelson Picnic schedule released
Billy Bob’s in the Fort Worth Stockyards is going to use three stages for this year’s Willie Nelson Fourth of July Picnic / Country Throwdown extravaganza. The unusual part? The main stage will be inside.
Look for Willie and Family, Jamey Johnson, Ray Price, Asleep at the Wheel, Johnny Bush and most of Willie’s numerous musical offspring on the “showroom” stage.
David Allan Coe and Ray Wylie Hubbard are among the performers on the “plaza” stage, both with atypical time slots: Coe actually opens the Picnic at 12:30 p.m. and Hubbard finally gets a prime-time slot after years of serving as the Picnic’s afternoon highlight.
