Cavalera Conspiracy at Emo’s. Igor and Max Cavalera, formerly drummer and singer, respectively, of South American thrash metal titans
Sepultura, formed this new family affair under the name Inflikted in 2007. The brothers’ new album, “Blunt Force Trauma,” arrived in March. 9 p.m. $18.

Benefit for Nick Curran at Red 7. Local musician Nick Curran, who has played with Ronnie Dawson and the Fabulous Thunderbirds and in a
variety of local acts, was diagnosed with oral cancer last year. It seemed cured but reappeared in April. This benefit for him features local musicians
from acts such as the Riverboat Gamblers, Stabba, Drug SxE, World Burns to Death and more in tribute bands: Rockaway Bitch, an all-girl Ramones tribute
act; Chepo in Heat, a Misfits cover band; and Good Head covering all of Turbonegro’s “Apocalypse Dudes.” 9 p.m. $7 suggested donation, but surely you

Why do we get reviews from the same old venues each week? What kind of deal do you have with the emos, stubbs etc? Can’t we get news about other genres?
