KGSR announces Four Seasons line-up
Straight from man-about-town himself, DJ Andy Langer, we’ve got the line-up for KGSR’s annual live broadcast from the lobby of the downtown Four Seasons.
For the early risers with the fortitude to make it out early during what’s surely one of the hardest times of the year to make it out early, KGSR’s assembled an impressive schedule of performers including She and Him, Sharon Jones, Dixie Chicks spin-off the Court Yard Hounds, Kat Edmonson and a tribute to Stephen Bruton.
As with past years, KGSR is in the lobby from 6 to 10 a.m. on March 15 through March 19. A $5 donation to Seton’s Shivers Cancer Center gets you in the door and also gets you coffee and breakfast tacos. Be advised — people tend to queue up early for this one, so if you want in you’d do well to get there Very Early Indeed. Of course, if you can’t make it out you can always tune in to the station to hear all the performers and “guests from the film festival and random celebrities.” Sounds intriguing. Full line-up after the jump.

Andy Langer did a great job with the lineup. The only problem is that inbetween acts, while the bands set up, we’ll be forced to listen to KGSR’s new format of tired 90s alternative songs. No thanks! Gonna sleep in.

I’ve ditched KGSR all together. I bought satelite radio and tune in to KUT now. I could only handle so much Jimmy Eat World.

My wife is from Austin, but we live in Durango, CO. Last time we were in Austin we turned on KGSR and said what the ^%^$#! Commercial radio is handicapped enough without trashing what was an awesome format.

Thanks for wonderful lineup. My husband & I have time off this year and plan to attend as many live at the four seasons as we can.
In terms of comments about the new KGSR, unfortunately I agree the new format is so commercial that I could be listening to it in any state in the US. Disappointing—when I travelled for business, the first thing I would do when getting in the car for ride home was tuning into KGSR. At that time, there was no place like home…

Could the SXSW Four Seasons line-up suck any worse?
Anything that was ever cool about KGSR has been removed.
Next year, can someone with some taste please book the four seasons?
