Buy tickets for ACL 2010 … soon

Since you’re all still buzzing from ACL (or at least cleaning your shoes) C3 Presents just announced they will, in the next few days, put on sale a limited number of $50 three-day passes for ACL 2010. Keep your eyes here for news.
If you miss those, know that early bird tickets are going on sale for $145 at 10 a.m. Oct. 13.
You can also bid on two autographed Pearl Jam posters here. Proceeds go to HAAM.
Next year’s ACL fest takes place Oct. 8-10, 2010.

That’s weird how the ACL website calls it a “souvenir 3 day pass”…with “souvenir” making it seem like it’s only something to look at instead of something that actually allows you in to the 2010 festival.

Yeah the word “souvenir” scares me.

Don’t believe it for a minute. Look at the pictures of ACLfest 2009 and save your money!

it’s a nicer ticket that you get to keep once you’ve redeemed it for your wristband.

Maybe they’ll move it to Cedar Park and let us use the park for a change. Yeah I said it!

Usually the souvenir pass will include the 3day ticket, its usually nicer than the normal ones. Also will probably include a small giftbag w/a tshirt, koozie, and maybe another gift or two. I bought the souvenir pass for Big State Festival a couple years ago, and that is what was included with it. Keep in mind they probably wont ship it automatically. I had to wait a couple months to get it, but it was a pretty cool bundle.

No thanks. I’d rather eat dirt. Oh wait, I guess that’s what I could have done had I attended ACL this year.

YeahISaidIt amuses no one but himself with the lamest attempt to coin a phrase since Poochie the Dog. SoPutThatInYourPipeAndSmokeIt!
And the Big State Package was an anomaly. The ACL souvenir pass is just that by itself, no extra bells and whistles. What else should you get for such a huge discount off the standard 3-day pass price?

They had to come up with some quick source of additional revenue to pay to re-sod the mud, I mean grass!

ACL is a great event! Took my teenage son this year and he enjoyed himself along with several friends. We should be proud to have one of the biggest music festivals right here in our backyard. Don’t forget why you moved here - many people wish they called Austin home. Zilker Park will be beautiful in a few weeks. I will remember the B-52s, Dead Weather, Arctic Monkeys, and Pearl Jam a long time. ROCK ON AUSTIN!

Not to be an ACL defender or anything but…
In response to MoneyMoneyMoney, they sold ACL 2009 passes 1 week after the 2008 festival as well. No change there.
To all the haters, I went to ACL this year and enjoyed it thoroughly. The rain and mud were a slight annoyance but once you were there you quickly forgot about it.
But, go ahead and don’t buy a pass. That just means a smaller crowd for when I’m trying to get close to the stage. Thanks!
