A: Pearl Jam. Beastie Boys. Dave Matthews Band. Kings of Leon. Ghostland Observatory.

Q: Who are the headliners of the Austin City Limits Music Fest October 2-4, according to a loose-lipped C3 insider, overheard at the “Rock the Rabbit” party?

Asked if this leak was on the mark, ACL booker Charles Attal said he would have no comment until the lineup is officially released in about two months.

We’ve also learned that the great Levon Helm will play with his all-star band.

This seems too good to be true! If it is; we are in for a hell of a party in October.

DMB has to be the most annoying band of all time. I never been able to get into pearl jam. GO is an overrated Austin band. BB is music for kidz and KOL is an incredible band who plays austin 3 times a year.

this sucks

What a bunch of whiny crybabies. I see four great bands there (I couldn’t care less about Ghostland). If this were the case, it would make for a hell of a festival.

If you don’t like it, don’t go.

Looks like a good start in getting the line-up together for this year. If the undercard is half as strong as that list it will be a great fest.

If this is the lineup, I like it! Now if we can get some grass to grow on the pitch, this could be the best ACL Fest ever.

Haters! Ghostland rocks the socks off any of those other acts… THE most entertaining group up there, and I’ve seen them all with the exception of BB. Let’s hope this is true and we can support the local acts that are making it on their own terms.

I like the October dates too - no more 2005 or was it 2006 heat stroke repeats?

It’s about time the Beastie Boys came! They’ve played just about every other festival.

I think U2 will headline. pearl jam would be cool, i could do without dmb tho. ghostland and kol are not quite up to headlining in my opinion.

u2 is playing stadiums this year. their stage setup won’t work at ACL Fest. i wouldn’t mind seeing DMB a second time this year. the only hope i have is that they don’t screw the lineups again and put two headliners up against each other like they did last year w/ Robert Plant on one end and Beck on the other. I would love to have seen Beck but couldn’t pass on Plant/Krauss.

That was probably was more to try to split the crowds then a “screwup”

eh, the lineup never seems to impress me when i hear it anyway…all the magic at ACL happens with the non-headlining acts.

this rumor doesnt really get me too excited and to everyone saying if we dont like the bands then be quiet, you’re wrong. everyone is entitled to his/her own opinion and can express it.

i hope the lineup looks better when it officially comes out, i will wait until then to form opinions.

I never got too into Pearl Jam, DMB, or KOL… They all make good music and are masters of thier craft. If nothing else, they all will be extremely entertaining. I’m sure the rest of the line up will have something for everyone. It’s never bad…plus i get to walk around without shoes this year.

Good lineup but, every year I ask “When the hell is Radiohead gonna play?”

It these are the headliners. ACL is going to probably have trouble attracting people from the west coast since Outside Land has the same exact headliners.

The people organizing these festival really need to try harder

Pearl Jam is the worst band EVER!!!!! If they do headline, leaving early that night will be no problem at all. I’d rather listen to Bob Dylan again, and he was horrible when he was at ACL. Don’t get me wrong, I used to love Bob Dylan, but playing hearing him at ACL just made me feel sorry for him.

Ghostland obvservatory is a terrible excuse for music. They pre-record the whole act and then pretend like they’re making live music during shows. sweet.
