Austin’s Jammin’ 105.9 up for sale

jammin1059.jpg

Following a Clear Channel buyout by private equity firms Thomas H. Lee Partners and Bain Capital, the radio juggernaut is being forced to sell 55 stations in 37 markets to comply with FCC ownership guidelines. Among the stations up for grabs is Austin’s KFMK, Jammin’ 105.9. Will anyone lament the mediocre “hitz” station’s potential demise?

Oh Oh Oh! Maybe some competition for KUT? Or KUT 5!? Or maybe the silly KOOP/Whateverthatotherstationiscalled Siamese Twin bondage will finally get broken.

Maybe News8Austin can buy it and give KLBJ News radio a run. OhOh!!! The Stateman could buy it and it give Kelso a talk show! YES!

LOL…sorry…just wishful thinking.

I will! I love that station. It has a fun mix of songs and I usually end up saying, “I Love that song!” at least once when I tune in.

YES! I WILL! Where else can I listen to Bobby Brown? Seriously. That station is nostalgic as crap for me.

Well, it was good sometimes, but I doubt I’ll lament it. Wish my fave station, http://woxy.com, would pick this one up.
