Willie and Snoop make strange budfellows
Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg filmed a video and did some recording Sunday in Amsterdam, willienelson.com reported today. If you’re wondering what the country legend and the rapper have in common, note that the rad collab happened on April 20, which has become some sort of hemp holiday.
Monday night, Snoop joined Willie onstage on “Superman,” the song Willie wrote a couple years ago when he was off the road with carpal tunnel..
According to the post Willie and Snoop also played dominoes in the hotel.
In case you’re wondering, the Snoop record won’t be Willie’s first hip hop collaboration. About ten years ago, he dueted with Elgin rapper Lil’ Black on a down south version of “On the Road Again.”

Snoop on stage with Willie Nelson in Amsterdam on ‘de Melkweg’ theater. It was awesome, the crowd went crazy went Willie invited Snoop on stage. The vibe was already perfect, Willie had a real good time. And Snoop can sing too! I felt honored to be there and watch them in a countrysong. Dinie, Holland

I am just finishing the best book I read all year, Willie Nelson: An Epic Life by Joe Nick Patoski. The broad spectrum of artists that Willie has done duets with makes Snoop just aother logical extension. This delicately researched tome is a must read.
