The Internet is abuzz with rumors and announcements related to this year’s SXSW music festival. Here are a few more names we’ve seen floating around. Thanks to our friends at the Austinist and Done Waiting for some of the tips.

X - Longtime alterna-punk stalwarts from L.A. have announced plans to kick off a spring tour at the SXSW music fest.

Simian Mobile Disco - Electro, psychedelic dance band from London has announced plans to play.

Liam Finn - New Zealand popster and son of Crowded House’s Neil Finn has announced plans to play the fest.

Kimya Dawson - Olympia, Wa indie/folk artist who is featured on the soundtrack to the movie ‘Juno’ has announced plans to play the fest.

In addition, the Chicago-based “insurgent country” label Bloodshot Records announced its lineup for this year’s fest. Waco Brothers, Ha Ha Tonka, Justin Townes Earle, Deadstring Brothers, Firewater and Mark Pickerel will all play. And Dallas-based Idol Records has revealed that Black Tie Dynasty, the Crash That Took Me, PPT (one of my personal favorite Texas bands), Glen Reynolds, Watershed and Mitra-along will play their showcase.
