Why isn’t Houston’s & Austin’s homegrown band, Sister Sister y Los Misters, headed for SXSW? Their second CD, Latin Rocks, is in Cactus Records now, and headed for Waterloo Records. Check their bio at: http://www.artvalet.com/Music/SisterSister; or http://www.sistersisterylosmisters.com.

Austin bands rarely get love for SXSW. The powers that be want mostly unknown out of town labels to showcase their bands. I guess they figure if your from Austin you can play here anytime. there are however a ton of good Austin bands playing non-SXSW shows on the days of SXSW.
