Austin acts win FameCast competition
Singer-songwriter Wendy Colonna and Blue Lapis Light each won $10,000 in the FameCast online talent contest, which has been going on for the past four months. Boombox ATX and dance act Santos each won critics awards, which didn’t net any money, but set up industry connections.
Colonna also won the critic’s award in the pop category, which will lead to a meeting with a Geffen A&R representative.
