Amy Winehouse cancels September tour dates

After opting out of her August performances last week due to (ahem) “severe exhaustion,” the British songstress has now scrapped her entire North American tour. This includes her ACL Fest appearance on Saturday, Sept. 15, according to promoter Charles Attal. He said there are a few acts in line to replace Winehouse on the schedule and “we will likely have an announcement on that in the next few days.” More details here.

Great… another chick who puts more importance in cigarettes, pills and alcohol. She’ll regret it after she long forgotten. She should use her 2 secs of fame to make what she can. Oh well, I’m sure some chump will come along and Fedeline her.

Amy, in the face of all this binge drinking and pill popping you still must think of your carreer. You gotta ask yourself, “What would Frank Sinatra do?”

Funny, when I heard she was going to be at ACL, I thought to myself “Goodness, I hope nobody is buying tickets just to see her.” I like her studio singing, but I understand she’s shown up to more than one show drunk and unable to perform. Musicians should respect their fans when selling tickets and live up to their part of the deal. At least when MJK and Tool got sick, the band stated they would make up for it.
