ACL early birds - three hours and out
The $120 early rate for three-day tickets to the Austin City Limits Music Festival lasted just over three hours Tuesday. At 10:15 a.m, the cheaper allotment, the number of which organizers declined to disclose, was sold out and the ticket price moved to the top tier of $145. “It’s still the least expensive big festival out there,” said C3 Presents booker Charles Attal, who said tickets were going “considerably faster” than in previous years.
The lineup won’t be announced until May 15, but sales were brisk because of the fest’s track record and because it sold out last year. Zilker Park capacity is 65,000 each day. Charlie Jones of C3 Presents said some one-day tickets may be sold, though at this time he doesn’t know what the price will be.
