American adds Austin-JFK non-stop

Whether you want to hit up an art exhibit in Chelsea, check out fixed-gear bike polo in Williamsburg or take in a Yankees game in the Bronx, American Airlines is trying to make it easier for you.
Joining the fray with jetBlue, American Airlines has added a non-stop flight from Bergstrom to JFK. The maiden voyage begins this Friday, July 2, 2010 at 9:35 a.m.
“Austin is an important focus city in American’s network, so we’re excited to be able to add this New York nonstop to our schedule,” said Roger Frizzell, American’s Vice President - Corporate Communications and Advertising.

Flight 684 departs Austin at 9:35 a.m. and arrives at JFK at 2:29 p.m. From JFK, Flight 695 departs at 3:40 p.m. and arrives in Austin at 6:45 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase from www.aa.com or calling American Airlines Reservations and Tickets: 1-800-433-7300 The route will be flown with 140-seat MD80 aircraft, with 16 seats in First Class and 124 seats in Coach.
