Whole Foods has your back this July 4th

Just because there’s a chance of rain in the forecast doesn’t mean you should keep the grill under wraps. In a glorious freedom-and-flavor-loving move, Whole Foods is offering up some amazing deals this holiday weekend.

I generally like to make my own burger patties, but it’s very hard to pass up the $1-burger deal going on at Whole Foods through the weekend. For a buck, you can choose one of the following burgers: 85 percent lean, cowboy, bacon and cheddar, blue cheese or Theo’s Spicy Steakhouse.

And the deals don’t just extend to red meat eaters. As part of their all-in-one-deals that you can find in the coolers at the top of the escalators, the Austin-based grocer is offering a package of free buttermilk buns, a pound of potato salad and a 32-ounce bottle of organic lemonade when you buy a four-pack of salmon burgers. Although the wild salmon burgers are pre-packed, you can head over to the seafood department and mix and match (spinach and feta, jalapeno-cheddar, tequila-lime) — just make sure you grab the coupon.

While they may not be on sale at the store, vegetarians and the gluten intolerant might be interested in the lentil walnut burger recipe on the Whole Foods website.
