The M.O.
Born in Austin, Matthew left soon thereafter and finally made it back after years of paying his penance wandering the earth. Before coming to Austin360, Matthew co-edited Austinist.com, worked as an advertising copywriter and led tours of the Roman Forum, among other things.
When not busy pounding away on his keyboard, he can be found at book readings, concerts, gelaterias, pizza joints, Barton Springs, movie theaters, the golf course, or home with a book. The M.O. gives readers a little insight into the world of this man without a plan.

Maybe you’ve seen the signs at your local Subway shop announcing that the fast-food sandwich giant is now offering breakfast sandwiches. I have no idea how good they are because a) I don’t eat breakfast until after 10 a.m. and b) I’m restricting myself lately on the kind of carbs I eat. (Yes, I’m becoming that guy, but more on that later.) and c) I keep so busy keeping Austin weird.
Well, apparently Subway is desperate for you to try their new breakfast sandwiches because they’re giving them away for free on Thursday morning. The giveaway takes place from 7 to 10 a.m. and includes nothing besides the sandwich. Of course, this is only at participating locations, so you may wanna give them a call first.
