Girls with guns
A .357 magnum is a lot of gun, and anyone who tells you otherwise is a) Clint Eastwood b) lying. Thankfully my embarrassingly short arms — while admittedly detrimental to a career in the bull riding arts — posed no problem to me laying serious waste to one unfortunate silhouette shaped target last night at Red’s Indoor Range.
Red’s Indoor Range looks exactly like you’d think a gun store would look like if you’ve never been to one, except there are no animals on the walls and the place — at least on Mondays (ladies night, don’t you know)— is overrun by women. The staff is friendly and accommodating and are especially good with novices.
In fact, the only unease I felt was when Luke, a slender fresh-faced young thing who looked like he should be selling candy bars for his high-school debate team escorted my group into the range and proceeded to unload 6 rounds into the bulls eye as demonstration.
THAT made me uneasy. Sort of like when Harry Potter got in the bathtub. It was wrong. Hot, but WRONG.

Showed that target who’s boss, eh?
Good-oh!
(We always say that you are a blinding flash and a deafening report.)

You hit the target with the Harry Potter comment.
But how did you do on the range? Define serious waste.
**Miss Adventure responds**
I fired 25 rounds with a .357 mag into a silhouette at about 8 yards. All but 3 rounds were in the 8, 9 or bullseye. Of the 22 rounds in my target area, 5 were in the 8, 10 rounds were in the 9 and 7 were in the bullseye. Photos coming soon!
