Will K-State’s Thomas push Williams out at Miami?

Kansas State running back Daniel Thomas is headed to Miami, after the Dolphins used a second-round pick (62nd overall) to pick the Wildcat standout.

The selection of Thomas clouds the Miami future for former Longhorn Heisman winner Ricky Williams. It’s unclear whether the Dolphins will bring back Williams or Ronnie Brown. Since the lockout is now back on as of Friday night, there will be no personnel moves any time soon,

Texas cornerback Aaron Williams and Thomas were the only two Big 12 Conference players selected in the second round Friday. The league had eight players drafted in the first round Thursday.

Thomas the first conference running back picked out of a group that included Oklahoma State’s Kendall Hunter, Oklahoma’s DeMarco Murray and Nebraska’s Roy Helu.

The third round is underway.
