Sanya Richards, Super(Bowl)hero

The New York Daily News reports that Texas ex and Olympic sprinter Sanya Richards made a post-Olympics stop at the New York Giants, her fiance’s team, and said a few words. Seems the Giants followed Richards’ progress in Beijing — she won bronze in the 400 and ran the come-from-behind anchor leg on the USA’s gold-winning 1,600 relay team.

“I told them I wished I could’ve made them prouder,” Richards said. “They said I couldn’t have.” “I don’t think she had anybody rooting harder for her than the New York Giants,” added Coughlin. “We told her she’s the pride of the Giants.” Ross - which, by the way, is what Richards calls her fiancée - said Richards had asked him if she could come and thank the team. And when Ross pitched the idea to Coughlin, “He didn’t even have to think about it.”
