Michael Griffin makes calls for Obama
Answer your phone in Austin today, and you might get a call from Michael Griffin. The Longhorn ex and Tennessee Titan taped a recording that is being used by Barack Obama’s telemarketing outfit. Griffin’s recording invites supporters to Obama’s rally in downtown Austin tonight.
Attend the rally, or Griffin might tackle you.
We hear that Obama’s campaign also inquired about the possibility of having Vince Young introduce the senator at the rally — after all, you can’t get a much more powerful endorsement in this town — but Vince reportedly declined. Vince told the Statesman’s Suzanne Halliburton on Monday that he’s interested in the presidential race but doesn’t want to get involved.
