Three former Longhorns will participate in the NBA All-Star activities this weekend in New Orleans.
Portland’s LaMarcus Aldridge and Cleveland’s Daniel Gibson will compete Friday for the nine-man sophomore team against a team of rookies that includes Seattle’s Kevin Durant.
The game will be televised by TNT at 8 p.m.
Gibson also is scheduled to compete in the NBA’s three-point shootout at 7 p.m. on Saturday, also on TNT.

Texas basketball has come a long way. Most of my life there has not been any Horn basketball players in the NBA and now we have some really good ones. Exciting.
