The Longhorns’ loss Sunday at Oklahoma State cost them one spot in the Associated Press rankings released Monday. Texas slipped from sixth to seventh.

We were fortunate not to fall further. It seems to me that the teams who blow us out do so by pressuring our guards--especially coming out and
picking them up way out front--frequently trapping them successfully. None of our top three guards is a good ballhandler under pressure. None of them is adept of beating pressure with a dribble (or a quick pass). The we can't get the ball to our go-to guys down low. The poor guard play under pressure is why P.J. has to handle the ball so much.
