Rose Bowl game comes to DVD

The ABC broadcast of the Rose Bowl — minus the commercials, thankfully — will be released on DVD on Tuesday.

In addition to the game, the folks at ABC and ESPN are promising pregame and postgame interviews, an “all-access” segment with Vince Young, features on Texas’ offensive linemen and defense and highlights of Texas’ victories over Ohio State and Oklahoma.

Price is $19.95, and it’s available online through www.espnshop.com and www.championshipdvd.com.

I TIVOd the game and saved to DVD (unfortunately with commercials). I have rewatched the last 2 minutes at least 15 times. The Horns win every time and look fabulous in doing so. The game with the extras and no commercials will be nice to have.

What a bargain for a 1960 graduate and for the entire game. I remember my son buying me the shoot-out video with Arkansas in 1969. Taking advantage of the great current technology at our disposal. Thanks for your efforts in making this available at such a affordable price. Bob Lanier '60 BBA Accounting
