Latest word from the workers comp negotiations: We have a deal.

Barring a last-minute blowup or revisions, look for this to be the bottom line, say Senate and House sources in the know: House bill, Senate provisions, everyone seems happy. Final signatures being discussed at present.

Gov. Rick Perry, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, House Speaker Tom Craddick, Sen. Todd Staples and Rep. Burt Solomons are reportedly queueing up for a press conference to announce the deal later this afternoon.
