Free Let’s Move Austin events at YMCA on Saturday

If you’re trying to pull the old “I can’t afford the cost of a gym” excuse for lounging on the couch this weekend, you’re officially busted.
Free yoga, hip-hop, water aerobics classes and more are on tap at seven area YMCA locations from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.
The lineup includes healthy activities for all ages, from spinning to ballet and swimming to gymnastics, plus wellness orientations and active games.
It’s all part of Let’s Move Austin Day, sponsored by the city of Austin and the YMCA, and inspired by the Let’s Move! campaign started by First Lady Michelle Obama.
Mayor Lee Leffingwell kicked off Let’s Move Austin on Jan. 3 with the Mayor’s Resolution Run.
YMCA of Austin locations participating in Saturday’s event are:
- TownLake YMCA, 1100 W. Cesar Chavez, 542-YMCA (9622)
- East Communities YMCA, 5315 Ed Bluestein Blvd., 922-YMCA
