Your weekend fitness events!

Upcoming fitness events include:
- Armadillo Hill Country Classic: The Austin Cycling Association hosts the Armadillo Hill Country Classic bike ride starting at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 8 at Liberty Hill High School, 13125 West Texas Highway 29. Proceeds benefit cycling safety education and provide free helmets for children. Distances range from 14 to 105 miles. Cost is $35 for ACA members and $45 for non-members. To register go here.
- Hot to Trot 5K: The 27th annual Hot to Trot 5K and Kid K takes place Saturday, May 8, at the Chuy’s Arbor Trails, 4301 W. William Cannon Dr. Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Texas. The Kids K starts at 7:45 a.m. and the 5K begins at 8:15 a.m. For more information go here.
- Mothers Fish Too!: Texas Parks and Wildlife Department hosts a special Learn-to-Fish event celebrating women in the outdoors. Geared for the beginning angler ages 5 and up. Equipment and bait provided or bring your own. Prize drawings. No license necessary. Accessible for the mobility impaired. 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, May 8. For more information call (512) 243-1643.
- Rookie Triathlon: This 300-mile swim, 11-mile bike and 2-mile run, part of the Texas Tri Series, starts at 8 a.m. Sunday, May 9 at Texas Ski Ranch, 6700 I-35 North in New Braunfels. Registration is full. For more information go here.
- Fight for Air Climb: The American Lung Association hosts a competitive stair climb from 8 until noon Saturday, May 15 at the Frost Bank Tower. Participants will climb 31 flights of stairs — 672 steps — on their way to a celebration at the top. Participants can compete as individuals or teams. Climbers will be released in 6-10 second intervals. Through team sponsorships and donations, Fight for Air Climb participants will support the American Lung Association’s fight against lung disease. - The Austin Runner’s Club 2010 Daisy 5K and Kids K: This 33-year Austin tradition starts at 8 a.m. Sunday May 16 at the Round Rock Premium Outlets. Proceeds benefit the Breast Cancer Resource Centers of Texas. Register here.
