Fitness Freebies!
I’ve got some stuff to give away. Just post what you want and why you should win it here, and I’ll pick winners next week.
- ”Thrive Fitness, The Vegan Based Training Program for Maximum Strength, Health and Fitness,” by Brendan Brazier. What? Vegan and athlete aren’t mutually exclusive terms? No way. This book, by a professional Ironman triathlete, explains how a vegan diet can help enhance performance at any level.
- ”The Mayo Clinic Diet,” by the weight-loss experts at Mayo Clinic. Tired of fad diets? This book is packed with meal plans, tips for overcoming challenges and help in starting an exercise plan.
- ”Personal Training with Jackie,” a DVD featuring five power circuit training workout options led by Jackie Warner.
- ”Dance Your Ass Off, The Workout,” a DVD featuring three calorie burning routines — hip hop, Latin and disco.

Dance Your *** Off Workout! Another workout video. That’s what I’d like to add to my Turbo Jam, Chalean weight workouts, Hip Hop Abs, Barry’s Boot Camp. Pick me. Pick me!

I’d be interested in either food book. I’m actually trying to add more vegan dishes to my repertoire but am always looking for new recipes on how to eat healthier.

I’d love to get the Brendan Brazier book. I’ve been doing well following the Engine2 diet but am now trying to work out how to keep eating vegan and train for a half ironman

Would love the Mayo clinic book. I need to drop some weight if I’m going to peddle over the continental divide next summer. I love to cook.
Rode 175 miles this week - including 63 for the Livestrong. Wurst Ride next week!

I would love to check out Thrive Fitness. I had been vegetarian for over 15 years and have been vegan for nearly 3 years. It’s always a challenge to be a healthy vegan. I’m very curious to see what this book has to say. Also, I’m stuck in Michigan and have my heart set on moving to Austin. ;)

I’m not sure why my post won’t show up. Maybe it’s the language. Sorry. I vote for Dance Your A Off, simply because I have to see if this is possible.

I have the book Thrive. It is great. Awesome recipes.
I have been unemployed since April and can’t afford a gym. I do my best physically when in group classes so I hve gained some weight since my lay off. I could use one of the work out videos since I don’t have any and can’t afford to spend any money now.

Hey Pam, I want to let you know of a trip my brother Ricardo is organizing for my friend Lorena. She is trying to get a group of women from Austin to travel to Mexico to climb Pico de Orizaba (a Mexican Volcano and the third highest peak in North America). The Expedition is called “Women on Top” and she asked me to forward the info to my daring friends, and I thought of you but I don’t have your e-mail address. Could you please reply to me so I can have your address? Thanks!

After surviving breast cancer and spinal cord surgery, I have gained quite a few pounds. I am physically limited so “The Mayo Clinic Diet” could be the best start to losing the weight and strenghten the body. Thanks!
