Win “Zinn and the Art of Triathlon Bikes”

Need to know how to ship your bike to the next triathlon? Wonder what body position will give you the best aerodynamics on a tri bike? Want some help installing a third brake lever on your aero bars?
Triathletes, take note. I’ve got a copy of the most excellent “Zinn & the Art of Triathlon Bikes: Aerodynamics, Bike Fit, Speed Tuning, and Maintenance,” by Lennard Zinn ($24.95, VeloPress). It caters specifically to triathletes, and covers everything from bike tuning and maintenance to equipment choice and upgrades and shipping a bike safely from race to race.
Want it? Post here, telling me why you deserve it or need it. Then email your snail mail address to pleblanc@statesman.com.
The 340-page oversized paperback is stuffed with illustrations, tips and exploded views of components. It even tells you when you’ve got a problem best handled by a bike shop pro.
Good luck! I’ve only got one copy!

Hi Pam, I would love the book if it’s available. I have always been a swimmer, recently ran my first few marathons, and just recently signed up for next year’s Ironman CDA! I just bought my first bike the other day, and could definitely use the help figuring out what I’m doing this year leading up to the race.

Pam, I am the perfect candidate for the precious book. I did my first Ironman a few weeks ago and I can’t afford to do anything else. I have got to learn how to tune-up my bike or adjust my position or all the other little yet expensive thing that the sport of triathlon throws at you. Hey, I can barely afford to send you this comment!! If I dont become my own triathlon shop I may have to take up another sport,,like sitting and watching reality shows. OH the agony of it all!!

Pam:
I look forward to your articles in Fit City each week. It’s nice to live somewhere that takes fitness seriously.
I’d like to be considered for the book. I am a long time triathlete and I have 3 sons (17, 15, 12 yrs old) and each one has done a triathlon. My youngest is a gear head and he would really take to knowing all there is to know about tri-specific bikes. I have read the road bike version and it’s so well written. Zinn is the master! Please put my name in the hat — thanks!

Again, please include me in your drawing. I’d love to win & share it with my triathlete friends. And I’m working to become “better friends” with my bikes this year! :-) Sara
