In more than two decades at the Statesman, Mike's been a copy editor, Sunday editor, Page 1 designer and, for the past 14 years, XL art director. Jack Allen’s Kitchen chef and owner Jack Gilmore will host a late lunch on Saturday (April 23) to help the Red Cross help Oak Hill residents displaced by Sunday’s wildfire.
From 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, the restaurant at 7720 W. Texas 71 will offer its Jack’d Up Appetizer Buffet and a frozen margarita for $20 a person.
The restaurant is asking for RSVPs via its Facebook page (here)
