Uchiko on the horizon

uchiko.jpg

The vibrations on North Lamar are starting to intensify as construction on Uchiko continues.

Uchi’s little sister is set for its full public opening July 6, designed by Michael Hsu (with the sharp angles and multiple wood textures to match).

In this photo taken June 4, Sebastien Caillabet, service and installation manager for Austin’s Ion Art, checks his team’s work on the sign.

More details as the launch date gets closer, plus the story of Paul Qui, the man Tyson Cole is trusting to run the kitchen at Uchiko.

michael hsu design office did most of the interior design, as well. I think it would be more accurate to say joel mozersky helped a little with the interior.
