The Linkdown is still thinking about the legacy of Steve Jobs and trying avoid people online using his death as a way to gripe about an error they once got on their iPod or to praise their Android or PC products.

Events:
- Girl Scouts of Central Texas STEM Fest happens Saturday. Info here.
- GDC Online is coming up. Expo passes are being given away to local professionals and students. Deadline for applying is 3 p.m. Tuesday. I’ll have a column in Tech Monday about the event.
- Friday Night Hacks happens on Oct. 15. Tickets are already available.
