- Game Over Videogames Classic Game Fest, a month of retro game events, continues. (Photo above)
- Code for America meetup on July 15th. Details to come on this group.
- 24 Hours of Technology Commercialization Conference, July 12-13.
- Twisted Pixel launch party for “Ms. ‘Splosion Man” on July 13.
- TEDxAustin simulcast of TEDGlobal, at the Alamo Drafthouse S. Lamar on July 13.
- Mobile Monday Austin on July 11 is about development for the RIM Playbook.
- Tickets for the next BlogathonATX are now available for the Oct. 1 event.
- Bizzy meetup in Austin on July 16th, part of a national bus tour.
- AMD Texas GamExperience is happening July 16th in Dallas if you’re up for a road trip to check out the company’s new tech.
Internet goodness:
- Major Internet providers (including AT&T and Time Warner) have agreed to help the entertainment industry crack down on digital copyright infringement. Watch those torrents!
- Austin-developed “Wizard101,” which just hit 20 million users, gets profiled by Fox Business News.
- Did you hear the latest Digital Savant Podcast, #5?
- 30 layoffs reported at Austin Red Fly game studio.
