- Netflix compares streaming video performance on major U.S. and Canadian Internet service providers. Surprise! Not a single one of them meets sustained download rates for Netflix’s highest-quality video, according to the company.
- South by Southwest Interactive updates: Interactive Award finalists are expected to be announced Monday. Judges for the Microsoft BizSpark Accelerator event have been announced.
- 10 billion Apple App Store apps have been downloaded. Whoah.
- This week, Sony unveiled the successor to the PSP game console, code-named “NGP” (Next Generation Portable). No release date or price was announced.
- QuakeCon 2011 dates announced: Aug. 4-7 in Dallas.
- A fundraiser/exhibit for “Rewind This! The Art of VHS” will be held next Friday.
- Texas Government 2.0 Camp continues on Saturday.
- Gmail/Gchat desktop notifications are cool, but they only work if you’re using the Chrome browser (for now).
- Will.I.Am apparently got that Boom Boom Pow, at least that’s what Intel thinks in making him a Director of Creative Innovation. What could possibly go wrong?
- RBFCU has opened up deposits-via photos from smartphones to any digital camera or scanner you care to use at home.
