Coolest news of the week: Austin’s Eugene Hsu (pictured at right) of Challenge Games has accepted a Seattle job as merchandise marketing manager for the Cheezburger Network. We’ll miss him, but hope he gets lots of $$$ from those LOL guys.

- Awesome wedding gift story with a tech/GPS twist.
- The Texas Wireless Summit is on Thursday.
- Austin’s Game Salad has introduced a $99 Express membership plan for would-be iPhone game publishers.
- A playable demo for “God of War III” for PlayStation 3 will be included on the Blu-ray version of “District 9.” Nice!
- Is Apple working on a $30-a-month TV subscription service? That would be a game-changer.
- Stuff from the paper: 10 scariest social media monsters (with great illustrations), “Fairy Godmother Academy” and its digital team and Tech Monday story on how smartphones are edging out gadgets like the Slacker G2 music player.

I'm sad to see Eugene Hsu leave, but I am very happy that he got this opportunity.
