Harsh words for Motorola; some lighter news
The hardware world is abuzz today over a scorched-Earth letter sent to Motorola’s top execs earlier this year, which was obtained and the company’s intention to spin off its handset business into a separate entity.
Could it be the letter (which is worth a read for anyone interested in Motorola) is just the tough love the company needed?
In lighter news, Austin’s DadLabs.com won a Yahoo! Video award for “Best New Uploader.” You can see their video and other winners here. Sure, Yahoo Video doesn’t get the page view that, say YouTube award winners get, but it’s still nice to get kudos from online viewers.
And in even lighter news, Adult Swim’s “Frisky Dingo” debuted on DVD yesterday with the release of the show’s first season. “Frisky Dingo” just ended its second season last week, and it was a stunner.
It’s not tech-y (there aren’t even any extras on the DVD set), but any geek would love this show, a sometimes naughty, but always clever and laugh-out-loud superhero/super villain parody.
Check it out.
