Apparently haunted, old Ginger Man reopens as Ghost Room

When the old Ginger Man at 304 W. Fourth St. closed and moved down the street right after South By Southwest this spring, former GM Kristin Jacobson and her crew got to work on a new club — and it’s opening at 4 p.m. Thursday.

The Ghost Room will be a music venue. I checked out the construction earlier this summer and it’s going to be cool. Lots and lots of old instruments, a proper stage, the tree-shaded patio we all remember so fondly. Music — old-school soul from Caprice, mind-boggling Telecaster stylings from the inimitable Redd Volkaert — starts at 6. And no cover.

I’ll check it out and let you know and please let us know your thoughts here.
