Claire Danes making HBO movie here
Claire Danes, Julia Ormond, David Strathairn and Catherine O’Hara are coming to the Austin and Smithville areas to shoot HBO’s still untitled biopic about Temple Grandin, a leading speaker and expert on autism, as well as one of the top scientists in humane livestock handling.
Danes will play Grandin and Ormond will play her mother, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Strathairn will play Grandin’s science teacher, and O’Hara will play her aunt.
Filming starts later this month.

ms. Danes is one of a few actor(s) who does more than just wear period clothes and hats, and deliver memorized lines on cue. She simply became Temple Grandin she “melted” in to the part……I don’t know where she went, but from the opening moments of the movie, the persona-Claire Danes was simply replaced and Temple took over. Danes no longer seemed to be acting or playing a role, but had actually become Temple Grandin. We were not looking at Claire Danes but at Temple Grandin. Her voice, hair, body language, response to others etc. was all Grandin. Few can do this. Meryl Streep has this ability as exemplified in “Julie & Julia” and “Out of Africe” .

I like her…..i’ve seen her in lot’s of films and she always does a good job…how would the world judge me if i were famous???

I would not go to see a Claire Danes movie if you paid me. Her snottiness and “superiority” oozes through the screen.

I don’t know where you get the neocon label from these posts. Imagination is a little hyper-active, isn’t it?
I don’t care whether Danes comes or not, but I agree she seems to have attitude when she appears on talk shows, and it’s not like she has a lot to show for it. Like someone else said, what’s she done since My So-Called Life ended? The awful “Romeo and Juliet” and and even more awful “Brokedown Palace”? And yes, her morality is questionable after the whole Billy Crud affair. She had a shot, but she blew it.

Danes is a skank and a snoot and the faster she gets out of this town the better it will be for it. And she can take BF Billy Crudup with her.
