AFS wants to fund your film
It’s time again to apply for the annual Texas Filmmakers’ Production Fund, offered by the Austin Film Society to Texas film and video artists.
Deadline is June 2. Big money and goods are to be had — cash grants up to $25,000, with a total of at least $100,000.
Get details and workshop dates HERE.
That’s not all AFS is good for, as we all know extremely well.
Screenings, too!
And a pretty special one — Jennifer Fox’s six-hour doc “Flying: Confessions of a Free Woman” — unspools April 7 — 9 at the University of Texas and the Alamo Ritz. Fox will be at the shows to discuss.
The series is described as multi-part “journey into the hearts and minds of women. Fox comes to a crossroads in her life as she juggles relationships with two men in her life. Her own indecision between heated passion and security and love leads her to seek advice and stories from her friends around the globe.”

Co-presented by UT’s Documentary Center.

And DON’T MISS the AFS Essential Cinema Series ““Ascending Dragon: Films of Greater China” from Tuesday to May 20 at the Alamo Ritz. DETAILS.
